Entry/Race Details

5K RUN, Time Trial Format so no mass start
Wombourne/Ounsdale Leisure centre, Wombourne

Timetable

1800 Registration opens
1845 Briefing
1900 First Runner(s) off

Runners will be dispatch 1-2 at a time depending on numbers, We are recording your start time as you are dispatched so do not panic about order providing you are wearing the correct number and chip then all will be fine.

If you want an early start time, get there early! Warm up in the direction of Dudley, running along the course won't help the other athletes and only limits the space available.

We will use Stake and Tape to barrier off areas for start/finish There should be no need to duck under barrier tape, doing so may trigger the timing mats

Deposit your timing chip into the container provided and help yourself to drink under the gazebo
Keep to the left where possible, the path is narrow in places
Overtake and accelerate don't run with other runners (it's not in the spirit)

Course is a simple, but challenging out and back along the dis-used railway line towards Wolverhampton. It can be muddy/slippy if the weather is poor. But you should be fine with sensible trainers. The ground is a little hard in places so Spikes may well be uncomfortable.

Race will be chip timed.

Results will be available on the night in the Mount Pleasant Pub, Showing your race number will get you a tea/coffee/squash drink
