ARRIVAL & PARKING
Approaching the Aspire area from Doha on Al Waab St and follow parking signs. Please be aware that you will need to allow some time to get to registration after parking and you may need to park a few minutes walk from the event start.
RACE DAY START NUMBER COLLECTION
Race Number collection opens at 07:30. The registration area is located just inside the main spectator entrance of the Dome. Enter the doors, look for the alphabetical entry lists and find your name. Make a note of your race number and then go to the registration desk that is issuing your number range. You will be asked to show your QID and sign in prior to collecting your Race Number.
BAG DROP - There will be a tear off on your race bib that can be used to identify any bag you wish to leave at the official Bag Drop – no valuables please!
ELECTRONIC TIMING
To ensure accurate times and results, every competitor will receive a Race Number that includes a timing chip. Do not interfere with your number and be sure to pin the number to the FRONT of your running top. If entering with a group make sure you keep the correct number throughout.
RACE START
Everyone will start together from the Start Line at 09.00. This is a 3km FUN RUN. Please only stand near the front of the start line if you expect to be very fast. Younger children and social runners should start near the back. There are NO PRIZES as this is a FUN RUN in the spirit of National Sport Day and general sport participation – everyone that finishes is a winner!
You will be called to the start line around 10 minutes before the start for a final race brief – please ensure you have registered and are ready to start by 08.45 latest!
FINISH
The Finish line is at the same place as the Start – the run is 1 lap – at the finish, cross the timing mat to complete your race and collect your finishers medal.
Please ensure all children who are finishing the race are supervised properly, the event staff will not have time to do this if the supervising adult is also competing! All children under 14 must have an adult run the whole course with them.
GENERAL
The route will be signed and will have route marshals to help guide you. There will also be 1 water station on the course and water at the finish line also. Please ensure to bring water or drinks with you for the start and do stay hydrated. We will have 1st aid in attendance and in case of any emergency you should proceed to the nearest marshal. In entering, you acknowledge that you are fit to take part and will “compete†at your own ability level. Walking is fine too!
