The Brian Goodwin Memorial 10k Road Race is organised by Bellahouston Harriers and will take place on Friday 16th June 2017 at 7:30 p.m.
Starting and finishing at Cartha Queen's Park RFC (92 Dumbreck Road, Glasgow, G41 4SN), the race is held on a fast and flat two loop course inside the scenic grounds of Pollok Park.
Since its inception in 2011, the Brian Goodwin 10k has become one of the most popular 10k races on the circuit with nearly 500 runners coming from across Scotland to take part in last year's race. Last year, a new women's course record was set by Jenny Bannerman (Inverness Harriers, 35:38).
The men's record is currently held by Luke Traynor (Giffnock North AAC, 30:28)
Early bird entries are available at £11 for SAL members and £13 for non-SAL members until the 28thFeburary 2017. Entries taken after this will cost £14 for SAL members and £16 for non-SAL members and online entries will close on Monday 12th June.
If there are entries still available at the time of the online entries closing, a limited number of entries on the day will be available at a price of £16 for SAL members and £18 for non-SAL members.The race is a Scottish Athletics permit event - run under UKA rules.
All runners will receive a goody bag after crossing the finish line and there will be a post-race barbecue with a free beer and burger for all runners. Runners, friends, and families are welcome to use Cartha Queen's Park RFC's bar for post-race refreshments.
Prize-giving will take place after the race in the clubhouse with prizes on offer for the first three males and females across the line as well as team and age-group prizes.
