Race Details

We are delighted to announce that the Tarbert TT10K event will take place on Saturday 12th August at 11am.


Participants are advised to make their way to the start line for 10.45am prompt.


REGISTRATION:


Registration will open on Saturday 12th August from 8am-9.30am at the Race Marquee on the Harbour Amenities area.


GENERAL INFORMATION


Health and Safety


Some of the 10k route is on public pathways. Participants are advised to use pavements where possible and avoid running on the road. There will be no road closures during this event. The rest of the race will be off road over country paths. Depending on the weather the off road sections will be muddy under foot and people are advised to wear appropriate footwear. People are also advised to be careful as the surfaces are uneven and may become slippy. Use of headphones will not be permitted during the race. ALL participants MUST follow direction from Marshalls, Coast Guard and Police.


PARKING


There is NO parking at the race START/FINISH line. Race goers are advised to walk to the start line. Parking is available at the public car park on Campbeltown Road and at Stonefield Farms on Campbeltown Road.


CHANGING FACILITIES


Limited public showering and toileting facilities are available at the Finish Area and on Harbour Street. There are no safe facilities to leave clothing and equipment. The organisers accept no responsibility for loss of belongings.


RACE START AND FINISH


The 10K race starts at Garval point and finishes at the Tarbert Harbour Amenity Area.


THE COURSE


The 10k course enjoys a hilly start on the local roads taking you to the first off road section at Ain Tairbert. In a change this year you will leave Ain Tairbert and cross the road to Croft Park, where you will run down 'Big Valley' into the 'Play Park' and up the 'Tawny Trail' to Tarbert Academy. When here you will take a left down past 'Starfish Restaurant' where you will cross Harbour Street onto the Harbour Walkway. You will then enjoy a flat, fast section of the run down to the 'concrete', enjoying views across to Portavadie and up to Ardrishaig and Lochgilphead. You will turn at the bottom of this road and head back up towards 'The Big Brae'. our friendly Marshalls will then guide you round a hilly and challenging section of the Millennium Walkway. You will loop round and come back down 'Big Brae' to a flat, fast finish along the Harbour Walkway!!!


REFRESHMENTS


There will be water stations available at 'Maggies Croft', 'The Concrete' and on the 'Castle Loop'. There will also be refreshments at the finish line.


PRIZES


Every participant will receive a goody bag and medal.


There will also be prizes for, 1st 2nd 3rd Male and Female and 1st veteran.


Race places CANNOT be transferred or refunded once you have entered.
