Final arrangements for race day:

RACE LOCATION

The race will start and finish at:

Bridgnorth Town Hall, High Street, Bridgnorth, WV16 4DX

The race starts at 11am on the High Street, and we ask all entrants to be at the Town Hall by 10am at the latest to collect numbers.

CAR PARKING

There is plenty of public car parking available in Bridgnorth – there's a map below with the recommended car park locations (these are all pay and display).

Please car share if possible, to keep the number of car parking spaces used to a minimum.

COURSE DETAILS

The course is classed as a road race, although there is a short section across a football pitch.

Overall, the course is undulating with several long uphill and downhill sections. The course will be clearly marked and marshalled.

Due to ongoing building works at the funicular railway which has partly closed Castle Walk, runners will be diverted up the steps by St Mary's Magdelene church and along East Castle street before re-joining Cartway.

There is a short cobbled section on the way down Cartway/Friars Street, please take care if it's wet under foot.

Look out for yellow spray paint on the floor to highlight trip hazards, when running back up towards to High Street (approx 3KM) please mind the high kerb where the edging is broken.

FACILITIES

There are no public changing facilities available, so please arrive ready to race. Public toilets are available at Innage Lane car park (next to fire station) and Listley Street car park (20p charge payable by debit/credit card). Local cafes are also happy for you to use their facilities if purchasing refreshments.

BAG DROP

There will be a bag drop facility near the registration area, however this is not secure and valuables should not be left.

RACE REGISTRATION

Race Numbers can be collected on the day from the registration desk under the Town Hall from 09:00am onwards.

Tshirts

T-shirts should be collected from underneath the Town Hall – for those who entered early, your size will be printed on your number.

REFRESHMENTS

There's a water station at approximately the halfway 5k

point and additional water at the end for every competitor.

Refreshments are available for competitors and spectators at any of the fantastic cafes/pubs in Bridgnorth town centre.

FIRST AID

We have dedicated first responders on-site for the duration of the race, should it be required.
