Forest Row Fun Run

Sunday, 2nd October, 2016

This popular, local race returns for its 12th year in its unique setting on Sunday 2nd October . It is an off road race on a level straight course along the beautiful, rural Forest Way track.

THE MILE - This year we are really excited to also be running a mile run after the 5/10K in conjunction with Forest Row primary school PTA to celebrate them bringing "The Daily Mile" into school ( http://thedailymile.co.uk/ ). The aim is to encourage non runners and children to brush off their trainers and gain their first (or next!) running medal. The mile can be run or walked by all ages, the majority of the run will be on the forest way but with a finish line in the field to allow lots of room for spectators. All participants will have a chipped number so will get their personal time. There will be a fun warm up before the race to get the muscles ready to go.

REGISTRATION – for the 5K and 10K is open from 8.30 - 9:45am. The 10K will start at 10:00 and the 5k at 10:10. Limited on the day registration is available for £2 supplement. Registration for the mile will be 10:15-11:00am and the Mile race will start at 11:15am. There will be limited on the day mile entry also at no additional cost but on a 1st come 1st served basis.

RACE MARSHALS – We have a fabulous team of volunteer marshals who will be stationed along the route to offer you water and ensure your safety and that of others on the track. Please abide by any instructions they give. If you wish to help as a marshal please contact us using the email address below.
