The trail fest series will start and finish within the walled garden of Ynysymaengwyn Woodland Park, before running along the tranquil banks of the river Dysynni and the surrounding Dysynni Valley.
Once regarded as the jewel in the crown of the Dysynni valley in south Meirionnydd, Gwynedd. The Ynysymaengwyn Estate with its stately home nestled in 40 acres of perfectly manicured lawn, beautiful gardens and majestic woodlands. Once owned by the local noble Corbett family, and later John Corbett. the Doritwich salt magnate. The estate fell into disrepair when the last serving family member vacated the estate during the Second World War.
Now the location for the Ynysymaengwyn Caravan and Woodland Park. The site retains its woodland walk and the remains of the walled garden and estate outbuildings.
Important Information: - All courses are flat and off road with the exception of the 15km route, which is best described as having a 4km section on an undulating narrow 3rd class country road. The 15km also has a shallow river crossing.
