British Forces Cyprus (BFC) hosts the Bay2Bay event and hundreds of military and civilian swimmers and have taken to the sea in Cyprus for the annual open water swim. Held in Episkopi, the annual event sees experienced and novice swimmers tackle a nautical mile around the coast.
Eligibility
All participants must:
- Be a BFC pass holder.This includes military personnel, their dependants and civilian staff on BFC sites.If you do not hold a security pass allowing access to Happy Valley then you will be refused entry and will not be able to get a refund.
- Be a minimum of 16 years old.
- Have read and understood the event rules on the application website.

Registration
Please note that registration will close at 2359 hrs on the 7 Jul 19, and will reopen on 8 Jul 19 without the option to select a T-Shirt size. This is to allow the company to produce the T-Shirts in adequate time. Anyone who registers after the 7 Jul will get a T-Shirt of a random size.
Timings
The following timings apply to the event.
- Thu 25 Jul 19, 0900-1200 – Pre-registration for swimmers, Episkopi Station Gymnasium
- Fri 26 Jul 19, 0530-0645 – Registration for remaining swimmers, Lemmings Beach, Happy Valley.
- Fri 26 Jul 19, 0650 – Safety brief to all participants, Lemmings Beach, Happy Valley.
- Fri 26 Jul 19, 0700 – Race starts.
- Fri 26 Jul 19, not before 0815 – Prize giving.
