Barnsley Hospice is a charity. Our care is free for patients and their relatives but not free to provide. The hospice provides specialist palliative care to people across Barnsley & District. We gratefully receive £1.6m from the NHS each year, but have to raise over an additional £2m to continue our services. Therefore we rely heavily on public and company donations, legacies, grants, community fundraising events such as Cannon Hall 10km Run and income from our charity shops.
