Ironwood Challenge 2026

Ironwood Challengestar

BRIEF DETAILS: The Ironwood Challenge is six(ish) hilly country miles of trails through ancient woodland, fields and forest above the village of Long Ashton in North Somerset. The course is of mixed terrain and historically very muddy in sections. The course is fully marked and marshalled. For the first year chip timing will be  included. Off-road shoes are advised. ARC Permit applied for.

FACILITIES: Free parking (limited spaces) in addition, local street parking, please be thoughtful and considerate to local residents in parking. Baggage Store – First Aid - Free Cake and Tea/Coffee for all participants. Shower and toilet facilities will be available.

ENTRY FEES: Entries - £20. It is likely we will have on the day entries available but cannot be guaranteed. Race limit 250. Minimum age 18 years.

CHARITABLE DONATION: Nailsea Running Club will be donating £1.00 from every race entry to Wellspring Counselling. Further details can be found here: https://wellspringcounselling.org.uk/

Wellspring will also be present at the event for further information and additional donations. 

PLEASE NOTE: Race entries may be transferred to another runner prior to the race. Race entries cannot be transferred to another race. No refunds will be given if you cannot run on the day for any reason.

AWARDS: 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall Male and Female and 1st place category winners for Senior Male and Female, V-40 Male and Female, V-50 Male and Female, V-60 Male and Female, V-70 Male and Female, V-80 Male and Female. (One prize per person).
