MARLOW TRIATHLON 2012

Sprint Distancestar

River swim - Safety on the River Thames is of the upmost importance. Swimmers will be set off in waves of 100 at 10 minute intervals and will swim the course in a clockwise direction. There will also be teams of safety boats and safety spotters placed along the banks of the River at 50m intervals. Competitors will never be more than 15 metres from the river bank. Bike Course only has 3 hills with a slight incline from Henley upto the next turn roundabout - otherwise its flat and fast - Please note it is on a main road and due care to be taken - The highway code will be in force. The Run heads out along the first 1km of the bike course route and is on Tarmac. It then winds it way through some country lanes and then heads back along the River Tow Path - It is a two lap run for the Olympic Distance Event
